The Electoral Reform Party (the Party) collects the following personal information from its members :

Names, civic address, e-mail address, home or mobile telephone numbers, financial and demographic information.

The party may also collect comments and opinions you share directly with us on our website, in writing, or by other means.

By providing us with your e-mail address, you consent to being added to our communications list. Our communications contain instructions for unsubscribing from the list.

Use of Your Personal Information

We will use your personal information to communicate with you about the Party, and to contact you about donations and membership.

We will use your financial information to process your donations. The Canada Elections Act requires us to provide Elections Canada with information related to donations you make to us.

Protecting Your Personal Information

We protect your personal information through encrypted security systems and strict access controls.

All users of our systems must agree to terms of use that include language on protecting your privacy before being authorised to use our systems.

We may engage third parties to provide us with business and organisational services, such as hosting servers and websites, processing online donations, or providing technical or communications services.

Under no circumstances will the Party sell your personal information, or share your personal information with a third parties for any use other than those described above.

In the event of a privacy breach, the Party will document the circumstances that led to the breach, identify the personal information that might have been compromised, and notify affected individuals without delay.

The Party will provide all users with access to your personal information with training on the Party’s privacy policy, its collection and use of personal information, and how to securely maintain this information.
